Politique de confidentialité
Dernière mise à jour : 21 octobre 2026
This policy explains what Sonviz (sonviz.com) collects, why, how long it keeps it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Sonviz is operated by Sonviz, Republic of Kazakhstan ("we"). Questions and requests: megel.kz@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google or Twitch, we receive an account identifier, your name, profile picture and email address, and whether the provider has verified that address. We never see or store your password.
- Sessions. A random sign-in token kept in a cookie. We store only a hash of it, your browser's user-agent string and when the session was last used. A session lasts up to 30 days.
- Projects you save in your account.
- Render jobs. The project, the track you upload and the finished video. The track is deleted as soon as the render ends. The video is deleted after the period of your plan (1, 3 or 7 days). The job record — name, length, status, minutes used — stays with your account so you can see your history and remaining minutes.
- Overlay links. The link key is not stored; we store its version, when an overlay last connected and the type of connection.
- Speed reports. Only when you press the button in the studio: the overlay's frame rate and frame time, the graphics card name, number of processor cores, memory, the OBS browser version and an optional note.
- The waiting list. The email address, channel and note you entered on the home page, and the page language.
- Security records. Sign-ins (which provider was used) and actions taken by administrators.
- Anonymous visit statistics, without cookies. When the home page opens, the site adds one to daily counters: where the visit came from (the referring domain or the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign of the link) and the page language; and when you try the demo (the beat, a tab, the microphone or another effect). We store only the daily totals, not individual visits, and no IP address, cookie or identifier.
- Where you came from and how you heard about us. If you arrived through a link with utm tags and then created an account, we save those tags (or the referring domain) with the new account. In your account page we ask one optional question, “How did you hear about us?”; your answer is kept with your account. Only we see either.
- Product usage. Which steps your account has taken and when it did each the first time (opened the studio, copied the OBS link, an overlay connected, an overlay stayed connected for 10 minutes, a video was rendered), and the days you used the site. We use this to measure the service as a whole and show it only as totals.
- Studio activity. While the studio is open, it tells us what you do in it: when a session starts and ends, the mode (Live or Video), the panel level and tab, which effects, presets and scenes you turned on, the names of the settings you changed (not their values), the steps of the first-run guide, copying the OBS link, undoing edits, whether audio started and from which source (microphone, tab, file — not the audio itself), and how many frames per second the studio and the overlay showed. While the studio is connected, the site also sees what is on your screen right now and whether an overlay is connected. This is linked to your account so we can see where people struggle and help them. Speech text, setting values, your figures, file names and audio are never sent. You can turn this off in your account under “Help improve Sonviz”; turning it off deletes what was already collected.
- Error reports. When a page of the site (studio, overlay, account or home page) fails, it sends us the error message and the code location (shortened), which page and effect it was on, your browser and operating system versions and the graphics card name. Page addresses, link keys, speech text, names and email addresses are removed before sending. If you were signed in, the report is linked to your account so we can contact you. Identical errors are grouped; groups are deleted 90 days after the last occurrence, and we keep at most 500.
- Feedback. If you send feedback yourself with the Feedback button in the studio or your account, we receive its text, type (problem, idea, impression) and context: site version, browser, screen size, graphics card name, the latest page errors and, from the studio, also effects and scene settings, audio source and frame rate. A snapshot of the studio frame only if you leave the box ticked; you see it before sending. Feedback is linked to your account so we can reply by email.
What we do not collect
- Your live audio. In live mode the studio sends the overlay only an analysis of the sound (numbers), directly between the two windows on your computer. Our server only helps them connect and passes setup messages, which include network addresses; it does not store them.
- Web request logs. Our web server is configured not to keep access logs.
- Analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. There are none on this site.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for: your account, the studio, overlays and renders (performance of a contract).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, for example rate limits and blocking accounts that break the terms (legitimate interests).
- To invite you from the waiting list (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To find and fix errors, to understand, in totals, how people find and use the service, and to help a particular person when something does not work for them in the studio (legitimate interests; studio activity can be turned off in your account).
Who else processes it
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.
- Our hosting provider in Kazakhstan, where the server and database run.
- Google or Twitch, when you choose them to sign in. Their own privacy policies apply to that sign-in.
- Resend (USA) sends the site's emails: your invitation from the waiting list and the notice that your video is ready. It receives your email address and the text of the email.
- The render computer is operated by us. Finished videos are sent back to our server and then to you.
Where it is stored and for how long
Data is stored on our server in Kazakhstan. If you are in another country, your data is transferred there to provide the service. Account data is kept while your account exists. Database backups are kept for up to 7 days on the server and up to 14 days in our backup copy. Waiting-list entries are kept until you are invited or ask us to remove them. Error reports are kept for up to 90 days after the last occurrence. Daily visit counters contain no personal data and are kept for up to 400 days; so are the dates your account used the site. Feedback is kept while the account exists; on request we delete it sooner. Studio activity records are kept for 90 days.
Cookies
We use only cookies needed for the site to work: the sign-in session, a short-lived cookie that protects the sign-in process (10 minutes), the invite you opened (1 day) and your language choice (1 year). To remember which link brought you until you sign in, the home page keeps the link's utm tags and the referring domain in this browser tab's session storage; it is cleared when the tab is closed and holds no identifier.
Your rights
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account with all its data yourself, in your account page: “Your data”. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete your account and data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Write to megel.kz@gmail.com. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country with a data protection authority, you can also complain to that authority.
Age
Sonviz is not intended for people under 16. If you are younger, please do not create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
